Many different people have helped us build, grow and make Corinium Ales into what it is today, including family, friends and real ale enthusiasts.

But at the Corinium core you’ll find The Empress & Emperor of Corinium Ales...

Lucy

Director, Brewer and everything else: Having spent a good chunk of my life working in partnerships, communication, budget and project management I felt I had the basics to set up a business but that business had to be tangible, creative and real.

Enter the world of beer! To get an insight to the beer scene I joined the local CAMRA group, met and brewed with other brewers and completed a Start Up brewing course with Brewlab and there’s never been a dull moment since!

Head Brewer and the rest: We never ever thought we’d be brewing beer for real! But here we are dreaming the dream. It's a steep learning curve but I love the way brewing brings art, science and people together. Using my science background I enjoy creating and tweaking the recipes and trialing different brews.

My time is currently split between Corinium Ales and another job but I am confident that will change one day soon.

There are also two key companies we work with: Smudge a design and branding consultancy and TaxAssist Accountancy Services.

Smudge worked with us in a previous life so we knew we’d be working with a professional creative company of the highest standards. In such a congested marketing world it is hard to stand out but we get so many positive comments on our branding and we have Smudge to thank for that.

TaxAssist have been with us from the start and provided a huge amount of support and advice in an area we knew nothing about. They do all our tax returns, annual accounts and payroll so we can breathe easy and focus on other aspects of the business.
