With backgrounds in Environmental Science and Management and a love for the natural world, the environment has always been important to us. Fortunately, given our current size our environmental impact is by default pretty small but we still do what we can to minimise it. We use UK malts (locally sourced and traditionally floor malted by Warminster Maltings) some British hops and on occasion locally picked fruits, allotment grown veg, garden grown and feral fresh hops and local honey find their way into the brewing pot.

The brewing process allows us to harness the water used for crash chilling for the next brew. Our spent grain and hops are recycled by local farmers and gardeners, bottles are reused or recycled and reusable screw top & tap plastic barrels are favoured over the single-use “beer in a box” or 5 litre mini/party keg.

We mostly only deliver within a 30 mile radius of Cirencester. In the early days you may have seen us unloading from our old but fuel-efficient Citroen AX Spree (thanks Nic & Janine) of which there are less than 200 on the road! Sadly she took semi-retirement and made way for a less iconic but more practical second hand Vauxhall Combo van that after several years of good use has been replaced with a more modern Citroen Berlingo complete with tunes…nice!
